Clinics We Offer

Cardiovascular (Heart) Clinic

Regular weekly clinics are held. All patients with any cardiovascular conditions will be invited to attend at least annually, usually around the month of your birth. Blood pressure can be monitored at home and submitted to the surgery or by using the self-help test area in the waiting room.  Please hand blood pressure results to reception to be entered into your records.

Diabetes Clinic

Regular weekly clinics are held. All diabetic patients will be called around the month of their birth at least on an annual basis for review. This review will include the taking or blood samples, blood pressure and foot examination. You may have an initial appointment with our HCA team and then telephone or face to face appointment with a Diabetic Specialist Nurse supported by a GP.

Family Planning

Advice on all forms of contraception for all ages is available from doctors and nurses, including the insertion of coils and implants.  A family planning clinic is held on weekly by appointment. Contraceptive services are also available in the Pharmacy next door to the surgery.

Minor Surgery

We are setting up a minor surgery clinic which will be run by Dr Satti. This clinic may include the use of Cryotherapy where indicated and appropriate Patients can only be booked into this after assessment by a clinician. We will run a waiting list for this service. 

Mother and Baby Clinic

This clinic is held every Thursday. Child Health Surveillance Services are run in accordance with local Health Authority guidelines and your child will be invited to attend for their regular recommended immunisations. Mum will also receive a post natal check with a GP during this appointment. 

NHS Health Checks

Patients aged between 40 and 74 (with no existing health problems) are entitled to an NHS Health Check. You will be sent a text message with a link to book this appointment when you are eligible. If you have not yet recieved this message or feel you may be eligible, please contact reception on 01527 575800. 

Respiratory Clinic

Regular weekly clinics are held. All patients with respiratory disease (including Asthma and COPD) will be called around the month of their birth. This review will include assessing disease control and review of inhalers and respiratory medication.
If you have an acute asthma attack it is important for you to be reviewed soon after. Patients will need to telephone the surgery for an appointment.

Women's Services

Patients aged 25 - 65 yrs of age will automatically be called for their Cervical Screening (smear test) every three to five years. If you are overdue a test you can contact the surgery to arrange an appointment. Please do not have a Cervical Screening test within 12 weeks of having a baby.

HRT clinic - we run a dedicated HRT management and review clinic. Your HRT prescription will need to reviewed at least annually - in the month of your birth.
