Self Referral
There may be times you don't need to see a GP for certain problems . If you have any of the following conditions, please self-refer to the appropriate service which can often be much faster:
- A new musculoskeletal problem - Please call our First Contact Practitioner on 07436 797891. They will see you, assess you, and can refer you to physiotherapy or for an X-ray if needed
- Are you female aged 16-64 and feel that you have a urine infection? Please use the walk-in service at Bromsgrove Pharmacy (next door to us) and they can prescribe you a 3-day course of antibiotics
- Are you over 50 and have noticed that your hearing isn't as good as normal? If so, you can self-refer for a hearing test locally. - Have you run out of your contraceptive pill? Please use the walk-in service at Bromsgrove Pharmacy (next door to us) and they will assess you, and issue you another prescription
- Would you like a blood pressure check? Please use the walk-in service at Bromsgrove Pharmacy (next door to us) as they can do this for you
- Do you have conjunctivitis or an infected insect bite or impetigo? Please use the walk-in service at Bromsgrove Pharmacy (next door to us) as they can prescribe antibiotics for all these conditions
- Dental problems - Please contact your dentist as we will NOT be able to see patients with dental problems
- Do you have any problems with your eyes e.g. red eye, floaters, flashers, dry eyes, ingrown lash, sudden loss of vision? You can arrange an appointment with an optometrist through the Minor Eye Conditions service. You can self refer via https://primaryeyecare.co.uk/services/minor-eye-conditions-service/
- Drug and Alcohol Support - Please contact Cranstoun on 0300 303 8200
- Counselling for Adults - Please self-refer to Worcester Healthy Minds via their website or by calling 0300 013 5727
- Autism and ADHD assessments for Children - Please arrange this through your childs school
- For Carers or Social Support - Please contact Social Services on 01905 768 053
- For financial worries, unemployment, healthy living, loneliness - Please contact our Social Prescriber on 0300 303 5291
- For any chest pain, stroke symptoms, falls, seizures, loss of consciousness - Please call 999
- For any injuries or road traffic accidents - Please attend the Princess of Wales Urgent Care Centre (where X rays are available). This is a walk-in service from 8.30am to 6:00pm daily for ages 2+
